Seminar on the topic: "Public-private partnership and aspects of energy service contracts (ESPC) in energy saving projects"

On June 29 this year, a seminar on the model "Public-private partnership (PPP) and aspects of energy service contracts (ESPC) in energy saving projects" was held in Astana.

Welcoming remarks at the seminar were made by: Managing Director for Energy Saving and Energy Efficiency of JSC "Electric Power and Energy Saving Development Institute"(hereinafter referred to as the Institute) D.Ye. Baigunakova and Mr. Amit Kumar.

The idea of holding this seminar was to familiarize and exchange international experience in the field of energy efficiency and PPP, as well as best practices and successful ESPC methods in other developed and developing countries.

The workshop covered a range of topics on energy service contracts, including baseline and performance assessment methods, PPP models for energy service contracts, PPP regulation and conditions in the Republic of Kazakhstan, and legal and financial aspects of PPP projects.

This seminar is organized by the Institute with the support of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
