In the period from October 16 to 20, 2017 in Tbilisi (Georgia), representatives of the Institute for the Development of Electric Power and Energy Conservation took part in the EU4Energy Energy Efficiency Week, organized by the International Energy Agency (IEA) in partnership with the Ministry of Energy of Georgia.

The purpose of this program is to cooperate with these countries in improving the use of energy data, improving data collection and monitoring, and assisting in the development of evidence-based energy policies that meet the needs of the country.

The five-day program consisted of five parallel courses - buildings; industry; lighting, appliances and equipment; transport; and energy efficiency statistics. 150 experts from 11 countries of Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia took part.

During the training week, presentations were made by high-ranking experts, for example, from the IEA, the European Commission, the Ministry of Energy of Georgia and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

The IEA Training Week is one of the key activities of the Energy Efficiency in Emerging Economies (E4) program, which has been supporting developing countries in their efforts to expand and take advantage of energy efficiency since the beginning of 2014. an important role in the exchange of experience, policies and best practices in the field of effective energy efficiency through the IEA's well-established experience in data collection, indicators and modeling; the development, implementation and evaluation of energy efficiency policies; and training and capacity-building.
