Kazakh-Japanese Business Forum in Tokyo

As part of the instructions of the Head of State on attracting foreign investment, from October 31 to November 02, 2017 in the city ofTokyo (Japan) under the auspices of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Japan and with the assistance of the Japanese Association for Trade with the CIS countries "ROTOBO" and JSC "NC "KAZAKH INVEST", a business forum was held on the topic: "Regions of Kazakhstan: Prospects for Japanese Investment" and a number of B2B meetings with the involvement of 150-200 large Japanese companies.

The Kazakh delegation on energy issues was attended by JSC "Electric power and energy saving development Institute" represented by the Chairman of the Board – Baurzhan Smagulov and the Director of the Data Collection and Processing Center-Almat Kabykenov, who during business meetings discussed further measures for the introduction of energy-efficient technologies, gas turbine installations with the function of cogeneration in the Republic of Kazakhstan, in particular, with multinational companies Marubeni and Kawasaki. Business contacts were also established with potential investors in Japan in the field of energy saving.

Recall that on September 5, 2017, as part of the implementation of step 59 of the National Plan "100 concrete steps to implement 5 institutional reforms", a Memorandum was signed between JSC "Electric power and energy saving development Institute", "Marubeni Utility Services" and "Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd", which provides for cooperation in the field of energy saving and energy efficiency improvement.
