The Institute signed a Memorandum with the Spanish energy service company "Energio"

On May 29, 2018, Astana hosted a round table on the topic "Prospects for cooperation in the field of energy saving: the introduction of Spanish technologies". This event was attended by representatives of JSC "Electric power and energy saving development Institute", the Committee for Industrial Development and Industrial Safety of the Ministry of Industrial Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Spanish energy service Company "Energio", JSC "NC" KAZAKH INVEST", the EBRD, JSC" Astana Innovations", LLP "AstanaInvest " and potential customers.

The round table was held with the aim of attracting international energy service companies to the market of Kazakhstan, as well as the possibility of introducing the experience of the world's leading ESCOs in the field of energy efficiency and energy saving.

The participants of the round table discussed the investment climate in Kazakhstan, the importance of energy efficiency and energy saving projects.

During the round table, the Chairman of the Board of the Institute, Baurzhan Smagulov, made a report, revealing the role of the Institute in promoting investment projects in the field of energy saving in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The representative of the Spanish company "Energio", Mr. Mario Oriol, in his speech, presented the company, services in the field of energy saving, financing mechanisms and implemented projects in different countries.

Following the results of this event, on May 30, a Memorandum on mutual cooperation in the field of energy saving and energy efficiency improvement was signed within the framework of a meeting of representatives of the Institute and Energio.
