The development of energy saving and energy efficiency is supervised by Zhenis Kassymbek

As reported on the official website of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on March 4, Askar Mamin, who recently assumed the post of Prime Minister of the Republic, signed an order "On the distribution of duties between the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Ministers and the Head of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan".

According to the signed decree, the issues of operational management of the economy and regional policy, development of transport infrastructure and logistics, construction and modernization of housing and communal services, development of energy saving and energy efficiency of renewable energy sources, coal industry, nuclear industry and nuclear energy are now coordinated by Deputy Prime Minister Kassymbek Zhenis Mahmuduly.

His responsibilities also include the development of industry, innovation, technical regulation, electric power, geology and subsurface use, petrochemistry and export control, the gold mining industry, the implementation of state policy to increase the share of Kazakhstan content in the procurement of goods, works and services by organizations and state bodies, environmental protection, the use of natural resources, the agro-industrial complex, land relations, water resources, forestry and wildlife, emergency situations and mobilization work, preparation and passage of heating seasons, coordination, development of special economic and industrial zones, and others.
