Nazarbayev emphasized the need to take urgent measures to improve the quality of life of Kazakhstanis, including the order for additional allocation of funds in the amount of 190 billion tenge for gasification and electricity supply is of great social and economic importance. In this regard, the republican budget for the next three-year period provides funds for the reconstruction and construction of energy facilities in the total amount of 30.9 billion tenge. As for the legislative support for the reform of this industry, in recent years the Parliament has adopted all the necessary laws aimed at creating a capacity market, introducing a "single operator", consolidating energy transmission organizations, and supporting alternative energy. It is gratifying that the amendments we recently adopted on the introduction of an auction mechanism for selecting projects are already yielding positive results in the form of reducing the cost of electricity from renewable energy facilities. Thanks to the relevant instructions of Elbasy N. A. Nazarbayev, the situation with tariffs has recently significantly stabilized. The state bodies responsible for this area of work must strictly monitor the prevention of an unjustified increase in the cost of electricity.
