PILOT IMPLEMENTATION OF ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IN AKIMATS

On July 30, at the site of the Institute for the Development of JSC "Electric power and energy saving development institute", a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Industrial Development and Industrial Safety Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Baitov Kanat Kurmashevich with representatives of the strategic partner - the German Energy Agency dena.

The meeting discussed the implementation of the information campaign "Energy Efficiency Initiative in Kazakhstan", as well as further areas of cooperation in the field of energy saving and energy efficiency.

Dena informed about the progress of the subproject "Energy efficient municipalities in Kazakhstan" aimed at adapting energy management in cities and regions. A pilot city - Shakhtinsk (Karaganda region) has been identified under the subproject

To date, a project group has been created under the Akimat of Shakhtinsk, data on the energy consumption of budgetary organizations has been collected, information has been prepared on deviations from the standard indicators of energy consumption (heat, electricity) in city buildings, recommendations have been developed for energy efficient measures with financial calculations.

Kanat Kurmashevich noted the intention and importance of continuing cooperation in the implementation of the event aimed at scaling the energy management system according to the experience of Shakhtinsk and in other cities and regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in monotowns, in particular.

According to the partner, the German Federal Ministry of Economy and Energy has supported Dena in the implementation of an energy management system in another pilot city in Kazakhstan.
